Our time here in Currituck is coming to an end soon and this is a list of things I will NOT miss (in no particular order) when I leave this area....
1. A 14 plus mile trip to the grocery store.
2. Tourist season and the traffic snarls that brings along with it.
3. The inability to go anywhere on Saturdays (see #2).
4. Snakes
5. Mosquitoes that can carry away an infant.
6. The ferry noise at 5:45 - 6:00 am every morning.
7. Water moccosins.
8. All shopping involves a long drive and takes up the better part of a day.
9. Lack of art galleries.
10. Hurricanes.
11. Nor'easters.
12. Thick green slime floating on water.
13. Thick green slime that grows on vertical surfaces.
14. Black mold that grows on everything.
15. Snakes.
16. Horizontal rain.
17. Groceries at tourist prices.
18. Spiders, spiders, spiders.
19. Humidity.
20. Flat ground.
21. Extra large, hungry mosquitoes
22. Bugs that fly in swarms so thick that you are afraid to inhale.
23. Peat fires that burn for weeks.
24. Few choices for grocery shopping.
25. Did i mention snakes?
